Kahuna

Kahuna is a good choice for extended offshore sailing. Hull volume and carrying capacity are both much greater than with Wynfall or Austral, and her larger size allows for features such as built-in water tanks (with a capacity of 100 gallons). She retains the buoyant hull shape, fine entry and clean run that make her smaller sisters a joy to sail.

Kahuna is stiff, weatherly and fast (more details available on my blog), and will be a comfortable home on the water as well. Her plans are drawn for wood and epoxy construction, and include specifications for both strip and cold-molded planking. Plans include drawings for gaff and bermudan rigs, and for several layouts.
